Die Robot is an electro-industrial band that hails from the rain-soaked streets of Portland, Oregon, that fuses together a landscape of rock and electronic music. Their sound has a wide appeal that's unique, haunting, and romantic. Die Robot is full of angst that has the soul of a predatory animal and there’s nothing going to stop this band.
Just recently playing at the Out From The Shadows Festival IV, in April of this year, Die Robot is locked and loaded and ready to embark on a two week West Coast tour, that begins April 27th in Portland, Oregon, at the Bossanova Ballroom. They then make a hard-right turn and make their way into the sunny skies of California, stopping in Santa Cruz, Oakland, and Sacramento; finally wrapping things up May 13th at the High Dive in Seattle, Washington.
Also, to quench the thirst of their die-hard fans, along with some new ones getting on board, Die Robot will be releasing a full-length album May 1st to May 13th that's only on available on a USB key, called Technopunk.The album will be released on CD and vinyl at PIG FEST 3: The Industrial Goth Festival held this year at Paris Theater in Portland, Oregon August 10th to August 12th. Die Robot will appear opening night of the festival August 10th.
Technopunk will feature nine songs, including a cover of PIL's, "Order Of Death", and a live version of "Lucretia", a Sisters of Mercy cover as well. Also included with it will be three remixes, along with all the stems so the listener can remix the songs as well. Which then they will release a Technopunk Remix album with all their favorite remixes done by friends and fans.
