METAL PULP AND PAPER: Hello Danyell and Tony. So glad to be catching up with the both of you. Thank you for taking the time to answer a few questions for Metal Pulp And Paper about the upcoming 2019 Aftershock Festival that you are slated to be playing at in Sacramento, California coming this October. Aftershock is a monstrous event for music fans and music lovers everywhere. It’s metal, it’s rock and roll, it’s more metal, and it’s more rock and roll. To sum it up, it’s a three-day event with three stages, with over 50 artists at the Discovery Park in beautiful Sacramento, California. Are you geared up and ready for it?
DANYELL & TONY:
We are ready, full steam ahead. Couldn’t be more pumped!
MPAP: Tell us some of the best things about being a part of a music festival, especially playing at one of this magnitude?
DANYELL & TONY: Having the arena to showcase our live show to so many different music fans like this really can’t be topped. You’re getting a large range of audiences all converging around one event and have the opportunity to show them what you’re all about. And just the fun and heightened atmosphere of being a part of an event like this is hard to beat.
MPAP: Explain to us what is a day in the life when you’re performing at a music festival? Do you go hang out with the other bands, mingle with the fans, or kick back and relax on the tour bus until it’s time to hit the stage?
DANYELL & TONY: All of the above. This is one of the first festivals of this size we have the privilege of playing, so it’ll be a great experience to dive into.
MPAP: This year’s bill has Slipknot, Staind, Tool, Korn, along with many others, including Lamb Of God, Highly Suspect, Gojira, and Babymetal. Is there any group that you’re especially looking forward to watching from side stage the day you perform?
DANYELL & TONY: We are deff gonna try to see Bad Religion, STP, Zombie and Manson. We’ll have just played Louder Than Life in Louisville KY a couple weeks before this which will have been another great experience.
MPAP: What’s in the crosshairs for Dead Posey after the festival? What else do you have going on after that we should all know about?
DANYELL & TONY: Around this time, we anticipate having our second EP be released give or take a few weeks, and we’ll be supporting that. We will be touring with Theory Of A Deadman for their UK tour this November and will be playing on ShipRocked toward the beginning of next year. We’ll be looking to tour as much as possible in 2020.
MPAP: On behalf of myself and Metal Pulp And Paper, thank you,Danyell and Tony, for taking the time to answer a few questions. We look forward to what Dead Posey does to finish out 2019 and beyond. Any last words for all your fans and all the Aftershock Festival maniacs out there that will see you in October? What do you want to tell them so they will go out and buy tickets and travel to California to see you and many others play live?
DANYELL & TONY: Thank you to our fans for all your love and support. You all are near and dear to us!
