Slayer means a lot to me, because when I was at my lowest, their music helped me out. I have severe depression, so whenever I start to feel that way I will blast Slayer and yell and scream the lyrics out and let out all of that negative energy. To me, Slayer is a great band to listen to whenever you get down or feel upset, and also Slayer is amazing when you're happy too. Like if you throw a huge party and you blast their music, it makes the party 10x better. But another reason why Slayer means a lot to me is that of what they have done for the metal industry. They re-invented the sound of metal and what it should sound like. I have been listening to Slayer since I was 5, and love them since that very day. I always loved seeing Tom doing his crazy headbanging. And I still love it, because you can watch old live videos on YouTube. Slayer makes me happy because their music is so hardcore. I saw Slayer live in July of 2018 and honestly, that was a dream come TRUE because I always wanted to see them live. And I was so star struck. It was so surreal to me. And I loved when Tom yelled 'War' for "War Ensemble," and I screamed so loud that a few of the members in the crowd were shocked. Seeing them live was the BEST experience ever. The sound was on point. Slayer has meant so much to me because, in my honest opinion, it's like therapy. You listen to them if your sad, mad, or happy. Let's also say they are amazing people too and they are such positive people and those are the types of people that everyone should look up too and that's what I look up to. So the number one reason why they mean so much to me is that their music has helped me through my darkest days of having very intense depression, and if I ever have a metal band, my band would be inspired by them! So for people who don't listen to them, I highly recommend you check them out because they are, and will ALWAYS be, the most badass band on the planet.
