Set In Stone, winners of the battle of the bands competition, opened the evening to a large gathering crowd. The band was an excellent choice to get the crowd going for the two Alternative Rock veterans. The band from St. Helens Oregon is made up of members AJ Hendricks (vocals), Ryan Hampton, (Drums), Niles Harrison (Guitar), Jay Green (Guitar), and Mike Woods (Bass). Set In Stone put out an album that was recorded and mastered at Black Diamond Studios in 2011 called Open Doors The crowd certainly loved the show as they screamed and danced in the 90-degree weather. The band will reportedly have new music coming out this fall, so stay tuned.

Sick Puppies have been around the Alternative Rock scene since 1997. With a major lineup change in 2014, the band pressed on with their last remaining original member Emma Anzai, and their drummer since 2003, Mark Goodwin, heading the charge. After the band parted ways with singer Shimon Moore in 2014, in 2016 Bryan Scott, formerly of Dev Electric and Glass Intrepid, took over the vocal duties, and he does it so well. If you were a fan of Sick Puppies in the past, you should be excited about their future. The band is currently touring in support of their May 20th release Fury. While in Portland, Sick Puppies received notification that their album “Fury” had hit number 4 on the Billboard rock charts. The band is getting ready to hit the summer festivals. The next show is in South Bend, IN on June 12th.

Chevelle is one of the hardest working Alternative acts on the circuit. Hailing from Grayslake, IL, the band has always been a family affair. Members Pete Loeffler (Vocals), Sam Loeffler (Drums) and formerly Joe Loeffler are brothers. When Joe exited the band, Pete and Sam’s brother-in-law Dean Bernadini replaced him. The band’s upcoming 8th album The North Corridor is due to be released in July. The first single “Joyride (Omen)” is a taste of what is in store for fans of this incredible trio. Chevelle are a mainstay of the Alternative music scene. With exhaustive tour schedules and new albums released every 2-3 years, the band stays busy. The band’s current tour schedule reflects dates well into the fall of 2016.
